Two phase support group * Phase One provides basic information on violence against women with topics including types of abuse, safety planning (use of technology), effects on children, parenting, information on abusers, process of change for women who have not had previous counselling * Phase Two process and experiential oriented, focusing abusive relationships in context, messages from childhood, parenting through crisis, boundaries, stages of healing and recovery, community resources * limited child care may be available through pre-arrangement * appropriate for women who have attended Phase 1 or had another form of counselling
